The Yamaha AES620 was always considered to be a great instrument (Editor's Pick, Guitar Player, October 31 2003), but this Sammy Hagar signature version fits in some extra features which add to the desirability of the guitar.
The model has a classic shape, and is beautifully finished. The quilted maple top finished in 'Red Rocker' translucent red give it a genuine classy look. The looks are backed up by the more technical features, such as the damped rotary controls (no accidental brushes to the volume knob here), and the carefully routed through-body stringing. The neck is a complete joy to play, and the pickups are full of tone and sustain whether playing through clean or distorted amps.
This Sammy Hagar signature edition is the one with this red finish, the signature pickup combination featuring a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge position, and trademark 'Cabo Wabo' fretboard decoration.
This example is offered in excellent condition, with a hard case which is also in excellent condition. If you love all things Sammy, you should take a look at this guitar.
